Balance system
Whoever said dizziness cannot be treated simply doesn't know whom to consult...

Dizziness
Dizziness is one of the most common health problems experienced by adults. It is a symptom of illness rather than an illness itself. Anemia, heart problem, fatigue, low blood sugar, migraine, high or low blood pressure may cause dizziness. Dizziness is always used to describe symptoms ranging from a loss of balance, unsteadiness or light-headedness to a sense that the room is spinning or moving (vertigo). People may also experience nausea, fatigue, blurred vision and difficulty in concentration.

Balance system
The sense of balance is controlled by signals to the brain from three sensory systems:

-
Inner ears: our inner ear has two functions: hearing and balance. The organ of balance in the inner ear is called the vestibular system. It includes three fluid-filled semicircular canals which respond to the rotation of the head.

-
Eyes

-
Movement sensors in the skin, muscles and joints

Good balance relies on at least two of these three sensory systems working well. If one system is not working, signals from the other two sensory inputs keep you balanced. However, if the brain can't process signals from all of these systems, or if the messages are contradictory or not functioning properly, you may experience loss of balance.
