The success of hearing aid fitting
is related to the professional advice obtained from an Audiologist.
Besides, you should have a realistic expectation that you need time
to adapt to the sound quality and operations of the hearing aid.
The following tips help you easily adapt to the use of a hearing
aid in the first 5 days of fitting. |

Tip 1: Pattern of use |

Day 1 |

Wear the hearing aid for 2 hours.

Day 2 |

Wear the hearing aid for 3
hours |

Day 3 |

Wear the hearing aid for
4 hours.

Day 4 and 5 |

If you
wear hearing aid for 5 to 6 consecutive hours without any discomfort,
it is a good indication that you start to adapt to your hearing
aid. |

Tip 2: Listen in quiet
environment |

You
should use your hearing aid in quiet environments in the first 3
days of fitting. You should adjust the volume control to a level
comfortable to you and try to listen to your own voice and talk
with other people. It is normal that you will miss some words in
the beginning and this problem will gradually disappear.

Tip 3: Listen to other
sounds |

You
should use your hearing aid in quiet environments in the first 3
days of fitting. You should adjust the volume control to a level
comfortable to you and try to listen to your own voice and talk
with other people. It is normal that you will miss some words in

Put off
your hearing aid and take a rest if you notice any discomfort, such
as fullness of ear, dizziness, headache and so on.

repeatedly hear high pitch sounds, check if the hearing aid or earmould
fits well in the ear and try to reduce the volume. |

have any problems that you cannot solve, consult your Audiologist.
